From Making Decision to Combating Criminality in the Era of Globalization

Changing societies of the entire world creates the premises for democratic states to strengthen regulations and other legal instruments both at the international and national level in the field of combating criminality. In the era of globalization, the only one desideratum for the main actors of the global world is to find the appropriate way of balance between the societies and their citizens. In such a nexus, the international community's global architecture has the structured capacity of fighting threats and dangers. Kipping control to the state authorities and other organizations, the judiciary appears as a key-factor of respecting the citizens' desire along side with the entire legal order. In this context, it comes to make efforts in finding legal mechanisms of respecting the fundamental citizens' values of human rights and ensuring human security.

Journal of Social Sciences is a peer reviewed international journal that covers the fields of scientific knowledge and academic scholarship that study social groups and, more generally, human society. JSS is a publication that also covers articles on extended fields of social science. The Special Issue's objective is subordinated to the main objectives of the JSS of providing researchers, professors and students with up-to-date research in a broad range of areas, and to facilitate the global exchange and review of research, ideas and expertise among individuals in the scientific community of social sciences, the humanities and the natural sciences.

The JSS Special Issue is particularly focused on the five main principles, kept as basic motives to publish articles with the Journal of Social Sciences. These principles are:

  • Objectiveness
  • Fairness
  • Significance

The current Call for papers for the JSS Special Issue, with the topic "From Making Decision to Combating Criminality in the Era of Globalization", is aiming at creating an appropriate scientific platform of discussions among specialists and give them the opportunities to publish their research results reached in the most relevant areas, such as: law, sociology, criminology, European law, international relations, Public administration, political sciences, public policy, migration studies as well as other disciplines connected to the social sciences.

It is also aiming at promoting and encouraging interdisciplinary studies in relevant areas of sciences for a better understanding of the global culture of the contemporary society.

The JSS's Editorial Board invites specialists, both theorists and practitioners to submit their manuscripts in the above mentioned fields. Moreover, the Special Issue also welcomes contributions on the wide range of the multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary social areas and topics which meet the JSS's publication criteria.

The Journal of Social Sciences publishes articles in English.

The young professionals as well as scholars are also encouraged to submit their research works in order to be published in the Special Issue of the Journal of Social Sciences.
