A total of thirty calves were randomly divided into three experimental groups: a control group and two treatment groups receiving probiotics at doses of 1 g/10 kg and 1.5gt/10 kg live weight. Key indicators, including Live Weight (LW), Body Measurements (BMs), Feed Intake (FI), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), haematological and biochemical blood markers, and oxidative stress indicators were monitored. Results demonstrated that probiotic addition enhanced growth rates, reduced disease incidence and diarrhoea episodes, and promoted rumen development, although changes in FCR and BMs were not statistically significant. Hematological and biochemical profiles remained within physiological norms across all groups, affirming the safety of the supplementation strategy. Overall, findings support use of probiotics as an effective nutritional approach to boost health and growth in Holstein calves without causing adverse effects.
