The major benefits of e-commerce adoption include improved customer service, better inventory control and lower marketing and distribution costs, reduced cycle time, increased market reach and reduced operation costs. Despite the hype of the e-commerce business, the benefits realized from e-commerce adoption among firms is unclear in terms of perceived versus realized benefits. This study examines the perceived benefits of e-commerce usage by the electronic manufacturing companies in Malaysia. This paper also differentiates the perceived benefits between the different demographic groupings.
