Approach: The study includes macroscopy, microscopy, preliminary phytochemical screening and physicochemical evaluation of seeds of Syzygium cumini. Results: The results were discussed for both the extracts in terms of microscopy, macroscopy, phytochemical analysis. Conclusion: The present study provides a scientific rationale for the traditional use of seeds of Syzygium cumini in the management of wounds.
