Our research presents a detailed investigation into the mold cavity pressure of self-clamping molds used in solid tire production. By integrating experimental data, the effects of critical parameters such as clamp bolt torque, final tire temperature, and tire volume on mold cavity pressure were investigated. This knowledge enables engineers to predict and control the pressure distribution during curing, ensuring uniform rubber flow, proper mold filling, and consistent vulcanization. Further, manufacturers can fine-tune clamping force and thermal input to reduce defects such as flash lines, voids, or under-cured regions. It also supports process automation, improves product quality, extends mold life, and minimizes material waste, ultimately enhancing production efficiency and reliability in solid tire manufacturing.
