Manufacturing of Advanced Materials
Description
The development of rapid solidification technology has advanced the liquid forming process to a state far from equilibrium, which has greatly promoted the development of non-equilibrium new materials such as amorphous, fine-crystalline, and microcrystalline. The traditional rapid solidification pursues a high cooling rate and is limited to the preparation of low-dimensional materials and the preparation of amorphous wires and foils. In recent years, rapid solidification technology has been developed mainly in two aspects: Using injection molding, ultra-high pressure, deep undercooling, combined with appropriate composition design, development of rapid solidification technology for direct molding of bulk materials; Preparation under near rapid solidification conditions New materials with special orientation and organizational structure. At present, rapid solidification technology is widely used in the preparation and molding of amorphous or ultra-fine structured wire, strip and bulk materials.
The special issue "Manufacturing of Advanced Materials" aims to develop integrated technology of material design, preparation, and molding processing, which can realize high-efficiency, near-net-shape, and short-process molding of advanced materials and parts. Typical technologies include injection technology, powder injection molding, laser rapid prototyping, etc., which are research hotspots in the preparation and molding of stainless steel, high temperature alloys, titanium alloys, refractory metals and intermetallic compounds, ceramic materials, composite materials, and functionally gradient materials.
This issue will publish high-quality reviews and research articles. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and methodological details, as applicable, must be provided, and the special issue will be supported by American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (http://thescipub.com/journals/ajeas). All submissions must adhere to the AJEAS journal's format requirements.
