Current Research in Psychology

Description

This special issue aims to provide a forum for studies related to energy psychology. Energy psychology is a psychotherapeutic and self-help approach that combines established clinical methods (such as imaginal exposure and mindfulness) with somatic interventions (such as the stimulation of acupuncture points by tapping on them) for effecting therapeutic change. Energy psychology is a development of "energy medicine", which also includes therapeutic touch, craniosacral therapy, homeopathy, and acupuncture. This innovative approach to mental and physical health is currently being studied by the National Institutes of Health, the Kaiser Foundation, and the Veterans Administration. Though scientific study of energy psychology modalities is in it its early phases, the growing body of clinical research has thus far been very promising. fMRI and QEEG results have shown positive brain activity after the use of energy psychology techniques.

This issue will publish reviews, clinical case studies and research articles. Our aim is to encourage researchers to publish experimental observations, as well as clinical studies. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and methodological details, as applicable, must be provided. Current Research in Psychology is an academic peer reviewed journal which covers fields of applied discipline involving the systematic, and often scientific, study of human/animal mental functions and behavior, including issues related to everyday life. This journal is an open access and devoted to the publication of research / review articles - http://thescipub.com/crp.toc
