American Journal of Immunology

Description

This special issue "Immunology Research in Brazil" aims to provide an advanced forum for studies related to research regarding immunity and inflammation developed recently in Brazil. The Brazilian research has been growing in the last years and a wide of new research frontiers have been created in the field of immunology. Neglected diseases, cancer biology, inflammation and autoimmune diseases are some of the main promising fields in Brazilian research, which involves several promising young and senior researchers.

The goal of this special issue will be to assess the current state-of-the-art of the immunology research in Brazil. This special issue will provide the opportunity to bring together several interesting areas that englobe the immunology research.

This issue will publish reviews and research articles. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish in vitro, experimental and clinical observations, as well as theoretical studies and review papers. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and methodological details, as applicable, must be provided.

Especially welcomed are:

  1. Manuscripts regarding original research proposals and research ideas
  2. Electronic files or software containing full details of the calculations and experimental procedure; if unable to be published in a normal way they can be deposited as supplementary material
  3. Manuscripts containing summaries and surveys on research cooperation and actual and future projects (as those founded by national governments or others) are likewise appreciated, as they provide interesting information for a broad field of users.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  1. Immunology
  2. Inflammation
  3. Immunopathology
  4. Molecular Biology
  5. Immunoparasitology
