However an important document such as visa is still handled manually which affects the accuracy and efficiency of processing the visa. Work on e-visa is almost unexplored. Approach: This study provided a detailed description of a newly proposed e-visa verification system prototyped based on RFID technology. The core technology of the proposed e-visa verification system is based on Identity Based Encryption (IBE) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This research provided comparison between both methods in terms of processing time and application usability. Results: The result showed the e-visa verification system is highly flexible when implemented with IBE and on the other hand produces better processing speed when implemented with PKI. Conclusion: Therefore, it is believed that the proposed e-visa verification schemes are valuable security protocol for future study on e-visa.}, journal = {Journal of Computer Science}, publisher = {Science Publications} }
