The diagnosis was subsequently changed to acute exacerbation of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia following reviews of journal updates. Pulmonary eosinophilia is a life-threatening condition which is treatable if detected early. Unfortunately, being a rare and poorly understood disease, its diagnosis is often missed and management delayed. The aim of this report is to consolidate the understanding of CEP diagnostics and the therapeutic role of steroids based on available literature.
