The concentrations were designed using Central-composite experimental design and regression analysis was carried out to obtain response surface model describing cell growth for prediction of optimum conditions. Only sucrose as a single factor was positively significant for cell growth. Increasing sucrose concentration from 3.32 to 6.68% (w/v) resulted in an increase in dry cell weight from 16-27 g L-1. IAA and BAP as single factors and other possible interaction effect were insignificant. The optimum values predicted to be 6.68% (w/v) sucrose, 0.84 mg L-1 IAA and 1.17 mg L-1 BAP yielding 27.4 g L-1 dry cell weight with 81.4% regression equation fitness of the experimental data.}, journal = {American Journal of Applied Sciences}, publisher = {Science Publications} }
