Pharmacology: Use of Medicinal Plants & Risk of Drug Interactions

The use of herbs for treatment of ailments is a common practice in many countries. One of the major concerns in the scientific community is the side effects and adverse events from herb-to-drug interactions. Research has shown that herb-to-drug interactions are higher than drug-to-drug interactions. This issue is geared towards research done in the area of herb use and implication on drug therapy. Invitation is extended for original research in medicinal plant and risk of drug interaction.

Toxicology: Exposures and Intervention

Exposure to poisonous substances is a growing concern especially for global health. The need for urgent intervention to stem the adverse health effects and long term health burden through exposure to poisonous substance is an issue of discussion within the international community. This issue invites authors and researchers to submit original papers, articles and manuscript on toxic exposure in the areas of chemicals, substance of abuse and food. There is special interest in papers discussing intervention to exposures.
