American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences
Control of Parasitic Diseases in Animals
Description
This special issue aims to provide an advanced forum for studies related to parasitology in veterinary medicine. Constant progress in the field of veterinary medicine, including the development of parasitology, has resulted in many parasitosis becoming a disappearing disease. Despite this, we are still struggling with the problem of parasitic diseases. There are new health threats from parasites due to their huge adaptability. Problems related to anti-parasitic drugs resistance, as well as the expansion of parasites due to climate changes, pose new challenges for scientists and veterinarians. This field needs to be fully developed yet and any contribution on this matter will be critical to amend the background of the scientific community. This special issue will provide the opportunity to bring together researchers, veterinarians and others with interests overlapping with those areas mentioned above.
This issue will publish research articles, short communications and clinical observations/cases. Mini review articles can be also accepted after contact and agreement with the editor.
Especially welcomed are manuscripts regarding following topics: diagnosis of parasitic animal diseases, prevention of parasitic diseases, anti-parasitic drugs resistance, new anti-parasitic drugs, environment and parasitic diseases of animals, livestock parasites, zoonoses, animal vector diseases, new approaches in parasitological research with use of the molecular biology methods, proteomics in parasitology, vaccination as a control method of parasitic diseases, and all others as they provide interesting information for a broad field of users.
